Happy Diwali. Wish you all loads of happiness and good health !!!
How did you celebrate this Diwali? Were you able to celebrate with family ( your parents, in laws) in case you live abroad or may be in different city ? For me, this time, it is just our family....3 of us. Last 2 years, my mom was here and it felt like i am back in my home. I miss my family back home this year.
Nevertheless, we did celebrate as I do normally. Keeping it simple as you know ... No holiday for us in Canada for Diwali. So i can only prep after working hours as it is in a week day. This year, I did wear one of my favorite sarees I had bought from Anju Shankar's sarees collection. You have not heard Anju Shankar's yet, It was launched back on July 13th 2012, 'Anju Shankar-label' is a Chennai based online store set up by a team of two aspiring entrepreneurs with a love for creativity, colours and fashion!
I heard about them back in 2016, when I was browsing for some designer sarees when I was in India. I just loved all their sarees at first glance. What caught me the most is this beautiful green saree. I did not own a green saree before, so it was like love at first sight. Happy news.... They ship free of cost within India. Not to be sad, they also ship worldwide, but there is shipping cost for other countries. Details on shipping here.
So I ordered online and it came within a week. I was in joy when I received the courier and this beautiful saree in it. It came with a brocade blouse as contrast but my bad one of the tailor ruined the blouse with his crazy stitching, I did not like it. So i had to buy a matching ready made blouse. In the end, I was happy when I draped it and celebrated Diwali.
You can shop similar sarees from Anju Shankar's here. They also offer lehengas, suits and kids wear too. I loved their quality and unique designs they bring out in each clothing.
Once again, Happy Diwali !!!
Until next time....
Stay Stylish and Positive,
